The Rare Woman

Today I choose Joy because I have been chosen.

Today I will love because I have seen sacrificial love.

Today I will be a rare woman.

A woman who is free of anxiety, who upholds her responsibilities, a woman who speaks truth not convenience.

Today I will be a rare woman who speaks with kindness not brashness.

Today I choose humility over pride.

Today I choose forgiveness and to let go the ghost of the past that continue to haunt.

Today I am a rare woman

I will pick up the mantle laid before me, for it is one of honor.

I will claim my birthright as ordained, beloved, lavished upon, redeemed, blameless, pure, designed, and purposeful

All have been joyously given unto me out of grace and mercy. Gifts freely and scandously laid unto me.

Today I am a rare woman.

A woman who joyously serves and audaciously loves.

A woman touched by grace.

Today I am a rare woman.

What a pity that I am rare.
